So i was browsing some info on internet and came across squire talk so i read the thread i saw some familiar names there from here and others I've never seen, so started looking at other threads and Noticed it was quite lonely there meaning not much going on, got me wondering why not have everyone in the same house or Pub and was wondering why some go from one site to the other? as where some stick to their respective houses only ? I mean we talk about any guitars here Squires, Fender, Gibson Tokai, Harley Benton pretty much everything Music related on the globe, so was just curious

The only reasonable answer I can think of is that some folks just have their favorite bar to hang out in. Some like a disco, while others gravitate towards pool halls or dive bars with peanut shells on the grungy floor, or a honky tonk with hay on the floor and a mechanical bull...
Could be some members can't stand some others on a given site so they go elsewhere.
I don't think there's any one good answer.

I joined Squier-Talk in 2013 and TDPRI in 2015. For whatever reason I never made a single post at either. Maybe once they kick me off here...

I belong to Squier, Strat and TDPRI and also Gretsch-talk. I am a regular at the first three but hardly ever visit or comment at the Gretsch site. Only own one Gretsch and it's a 1936 vintage acoustic archtop so...

I’m on Squier-Talk, TDPRI, Epiphone-talk, and here (all same name).
all are great places to hang - Squier-Talk is more like a small town, whereas Stat talk is a big city.

Tried tdpri but they seem really prudish. MyLesPaul is nice enough, and ya can talk normal there, but I yaven't figured out how to change the background color (I default to black and it's kinda hard for me to read).

I found ST while searching for info on mods and rebuilds. I came for the knowledge. Stayed for the entertainment. Everything I need is right here.
I also consider this social media. And this is as social as I wanna get.

My alter ego posts on TDPRI and Squier-Talk, several other forums here and there too...
Different forums, different people, different knowledge, different skills.

I'm technically a member over at Squier Talk and TDPRI but never really felt at home. This is my local.

I am a member of Squier and TDPRI don't post that often somehow the feel is different on those threads compared to here. Not absolutely sure why.

I don't hang my hat in any of them. Some bar-steward would steal it.

I spent some time at coth Squier Talk and TDPRI. TDPRI just didn't feel right to me and I was really turned off by Squier Talk when I read a thread about how we here at Strat-talk were ALL cork sniffers and didn't know what we were talking about.
This has been the best online community I've ever seen.
