Elfman has rarely disappointed me, so I'm looking forward to it. When is the movie slated for release? NP: OUTBREAK (James Newton Howard)

Oh, and you think it's Fiedel who choose not to score the film? Hah. THINK MAN! It's Fiedel, the man who virtually nobody even knows exists anymore; a high profile (or budget) flick like this would only help his future chances... I think it's safe to say that nobody behind the camera wanted him, but that's just my theory... Personally, I wish he'd come back; I thought his T2 score was great IN FILM, and it'd be a chance to prove he still has something left. Then again, Cameron isn't coming back, so I could care less about the project anyway. The director helmed U-571, which I thought was mediocre at best, so I'm not looking forward to this one much regardless. BTW, where did you get this information?

If Fiedel doesn't return, I would like to see Richard Marvin score it, since he did U-571 for director Jonathan Mostow, who is writer/director of T3. If not, Elfman would prove an interesting choice. I'd love for the theme to remain, but I got a feeling we won't hear it at all. That's entirely possible (new director, new composer). Elfman likes to create NEW music, and doesn't particularly enjoy imitating others. I'm sure the movie will be good. Mostow's movies have certainly been entertaining (particularly BREAKDOWN), although not blockbusters. Cameron IS producing, and he'll have a lot of input into the movie.

Example Jurassic Park III However, sometimes this is not always the case. Danny Elfman was forced to write all new themes for Big Top Pee Wee even though he wrote the score for the first film, Pee Wee's Big Adventure. So does anyone know if it is same studio?
